Overall experience has been incredible at AWS. Unless a customer decides to leave, you can coast and hit a good % of your OTE. Work/life balance is important there. Since I started in 2020, culture has changed for the worse and the org feels bloated. We keep rinsing and repeating the same motions, with no innovation. Missing the boat on GenAI was one thing, but now trying to play catch up with subpar products is hurting my attainment. There are few opportunities to move into a leadership role in your same org, mostly because the culture and balance is so good that you can make a lot of money while coasting.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with my experience at AWS. The segment I align to has a great culture and the leadership is actively improving the experience for sellers and customers. You do have to build an internal network to support your development and growth. You also have to build a strong brand by providing value and scaling your impact with your team and segment....Read More
