Segment was a great place to learn, but I don't think it's a great place for sales now if you're looking to grow in your role or exceed quota.

Overall experience has been a bit chaotic. Feels like working at a startup. Tons of changes for better and for worse. Have witnessed two layoffs in my time here, the founder and CEO leaving, the entire sales org getting restructured, and the quota and KPIs changing. On the positives - good front line management, great culture for the most part, and solid base pay.

Not the best, once Twilio took over. Leadership of Twilio stopped Segments beauty.

I think Segment has fallen behind in the CDP space due to resting on its laurels and letting low cost competitors catch up. It’s really hard to make quota without getting lucky on a big deal or 2.
