My rating is based on conditions at the end of my employment. At that time, sales were declining after a wild COVID windfall, so quota attainment was rare and morale was low. Zoom had a RIF in February 2023, creating more work for less people and fear for losing jobs, even though most of the redundant mid-level leaders kept their positions. It used to be a beloved unicorn utopia, but now it's just another out-of-touch tech company.

The mid market AE role is tough. It’s full a cycle AE sales role focused primarily on prospecting into new accounts. There is no inbound and very limited BDR/SDR support. I will say, you have every sales tool possible to be successful though.
