What is the difference between Mid Market and Commercial at Zendesk?

Commercial sells to 250-999 employee orgs
Mid Market sells to 1000-4999 employee orgs

Mid Market covers companies with 1k-5k headcount and has a slightly higher pay scale. Commercial is 200-1000 headcount. 
Zendesk doesn’t work well for mid market so the role is a revolving door of coaching plans, pips, and making no money. Commercial is slightly more stable provided the territory.

Size of the target company… mid market is 1k-5k employees and commercial is 250-1k… sales expectations are pretty much the same…. It’s a transactional marketplace

I have been gone for a few years and not sure, given the new leadership after going private, how the company delineates various teams anymore.

The sales segments are differentiated by employee count at the business you’re selling into. Commercial is approx 1k-5k employees and Mid Market is 5-10k. Opp size can vary due to size of the teams at these orgs since it’s dependent on their employee service and CX teams respectively

So every company may divide them differently when it comes to size but think of it this way:
SMB (small medium business) 5-10 million 
Commercial: 10m - 50m ( could go up to 100m)
Mid Market Enterprise (think of this as enterprise Jr usually 100m - 1b
Enterprise  - 1b and up

There is no difference. The terms are used interchangeably to refer to the same business segment (under $1B).
