Current Employee Varonis has one of the most complex compensation plans, requiring significant effort to fully understand. For first-year reps, reaching OTE is nearly impossible since half of their commissions are deferred to the following year. The compensation structure does not incentivize pursuing large enterprise deals. Additionally, each deal is subject to a grading scale, with most deals starting at a D or D- due to current market conditions, meaning reps can only retire portions of their deals. While grade bumps exist, some are beyond a salesperson’s control. Varonis also imposes restrictions on when employees can take PTO.
