Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Toast is a very good company... however, I feel like right now it's the worst time to join. Since some markets are already saturated and competitors are playing the game tougher than ever before, being on a role where inbounds no longer exist and outbound is expected more than 90% makes it extremely challenging... the problem is not cold calling, the problem is trying to get decision makers on the phone since they are restaurant owners aka ALWAYS busy. Many of them don't even know what zoom, so it's very hard to conduct a demo remotely if you don't live in your territory. Base is bad, OTE is good, but in order for you to get paid there are a million roadblocks you need to cross to get commission- after the customer signs the contract, you need to hold their hand for them to go live (start using the software)... this could take a lot of months which makes it MORE challenging to hit that OTE and really make money. It's a role where you need to have patience, my peers say you could see money come in in around 14-19 months since your start date. Browse Other Reviews
