Tableau is a great product but is losing market share to Power BI and other niche players that are catching up. Sales operations at Salesforce struggle with territory carve-outs, so much of your success will depend on the types of accounts you work with. My best advice for new folks looking to join Tableau is to have a genuine interest in data analytics and be prepared to invest the time to learn. Make sure you understand what you're getting into and manage expectations with your manager, as the high-performance culture has made many managers quick to put employees on performance improvement plans (PIPs). Zero to no accountability at the manager level, they can pretty much get away with anything. The longer a manager stays at Salesforce, the more power they accumulate, gaining significant political influence. Best Verticals I saw there were performing well Finance HLS Public Sector Vertical's that were struggling: Retail Manufacturing Not too sure about Media and communications. Salesforce is what you make of it, and a bit of luck can go a long way here.
