Lack of visibility from leadership. Quotas increase significantly from year to year and when promoted, you are not given a ramp period despite having a 100% new book of business. PIPs are common.

Management is incentivized to do whatever it takes to make their number. While management strives to achieve its goals, often it will directly affect the customer at the time of renewal unfairly. In contrast, successful managers are rewarded with pay increases, recognition, and promotions, while sales staff may be let go and blamed for poor customer satisfaction.
