Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Currently a shipwreck. Incredibly hard to land new logos. Not one rep may hit quota in my segment this FY. Innovation has been focussed on integrating with Salesforce, which has not paid off yet.
There is almost no active co-selling with Salesforce reps as it is too hard to position with non-Slack companies, ARR is much smaller than on other Salesforce products and a lack of understanding of the value.
Be aware: Next FY, all Slack reps will be specialists. Therefore, you will not own opportunities anymore and the last stages of the sales cycle will be managed by the Salesforce rep, including quoting and closing.
The best part are a fair and lucrative compensation and commission plan, an incredible network of people, seasoned sellers and potentially amazing learning opportunities within big and complicated multi-cloud deals.
At the moment, I would stay clear from working as a seller at Slack. Either it will be swallowed up and managed by a Salesforce rep soon or they can steer the ship around and make the specialist role work. But that will take probably 1-2 years, innovation and a GTM strategy change. Browse Other Reviews
