Is it possible to move from a Prime Account Executive (Marketing Cloud) to Core down the line? What does the career track look like for someone working as a Core Rep vs a Prime Rep?

Yes you can switch from core to coprime and back and forth. It may be more difficult to do so but generally speaking yes. Really comes down to what teams you want to work on and if your network lives, if you spend multiple years in marketing cloud it will be easier to move up in marketing cloud because you will know the leadership.

Core rep and coprime AEs have a similar career path of just moving up market and having larger accounts. SB, GRB, MM, GB and then finally ENT

Yes, you can make the switch, if you want to. As a Prime seller for my entire 5.5 years at Salesforce, I have no desire to move to Core. Some Prime sellers may want to move, but not always.

Yes there is considerable mobility in the company. Big changes come each year with the new FY, you need to start planning and working on the change in September to change for February.

Yes - you can do it. Albeit need a strong sponsor. Very different product and a dominant revenue stream, which means MC operate independently. Obviously core is multi cloud. I’ve seen it been done but not frequently. A few times in ECS which is a more fluid business unit.

Yes it is possible, there has been new realignment across the org causing a backlog of internal promotions due to Slack AEs moving to core.
