Hey there -

Current AE here. Been around for several years hitting quota, but having a tough year. I fear a PIP coming. My entire team isn’t hitting quota either though. Does anyone know the current parameters for being put on one?
ie: Not hitting your “participation” # x Quarters in row?

I believe it’s back to back quarters of missing participation.

Not the most comforting answer but I witnesses someone that hadn’t missed participation in  4 years at Salesforce. He was having a rough time in Q1 which would have been his first time ever missing participation and they PIP’d him (he took the package of course.) He was also the only remote employee

There’s a huge problem this year that management hasn’t figured out.  The problem is that Slack users are considered ‘current business,’ and are added to our book of business.
Slack only users are basically new logos when it comes to Salesforce products. It’s been impossible to hit quota.

Technically ive heard it’s 2 quarters , but from what I’ve seen it depends upon your manager. Some are understanding that territory carves and economy can be unforgiving, and won’t pip you. On the flip side, I’ve seen higher performing reps (on dash ) get PIPd bc they were at their managers throat

Not sure, but, keep your activity up. Make sure you are at the top of your team for calls, etc. Make sure you are documenting all of them. Pro tip: sending LI Nav messages count as activity if you check off that box in the msg. Copy and paste an invite to some upcoming webinar or something.

I was put on PIP even after a landmark FY23 with almost 300% and being no.1 in the office .Was on paternity for 4 months which contributed to a slow start in FY24 . Missed Q1, hit Q2 & missed Q3 and was put on PIP in Q4. Btw my target increased YoY by 82%
