SHI can be a good place to start a tech sales career since you’re exposed to many types of tech industries. As a reseller, SHI works with a large range of major tech manufacturers. However, it lacks strong management, offers relatively low pay for tech sales roles, and requires significant extra effort just to earn a promotion. Promotions often involve only a senior title change and a modest $5,000 salary increase, from $40,000 to $45,000 base salary. High quotas, along with constant pressure from management, make it questionable if staying long-term is worth it."

Management changes and increased quotas in a market that is constricting is causing concern for alot of reps. Many top reps have or are bein squeezed out by changes in comp plans and the increased quotas. Once a well run organization, there is increased industry and market confusion of people and strengths.
