Hard to get promoted. If you are promoted into your AE role, you will make about 60% of what you should be paid. External hires make significantly more.

Strong sales leadership depending on the segment you are selling to. Product market fit is still there, and the company is operated overtly as a separate entity from IBM. Comp plans aren’t as favorable as they once were, but it is still possible to blow it out of the water.
