In 2024 as Procore struggled to meet its sales plan, the focus on internal talent shifted 180 degrees to hiring externally. Unfortunately, the outcome was a significant loss of tribal knowledge and diverse talent (on all fronts, including diversity of experience). Hiring and firing practices became opaque and based on shoulder taps and cronyism.

Earnings are capped for AM's by way of comp plan - no 300k+ W2's here. More luck dependent than most companies, based on volume-based pricing model. Lowered quotas because nobody hit last year, but then cut books so proportionately in the same boat. Still no comp plans, and even leaders don't understand new quota criteria.
