Really good product but hard for customers to use. Some customers receive value but most struggle to get live or actually achieve business goals. They are hiring a lot of sales people, because many have left as they aren’t even close to quota.

Product is interesting, has constant investment into it, but isn’t a must have therefore sales are slow. Particularly in Enterprise. But slow/no sales is blamed on the skills of the rep rather than product-market fit or economic circumstances.

My overall experience is bad. The people are great, the culture is great, but the training and product is not. You train yourself the first month through awful modules/videos. Your book of business is ~1300 accounts with 200 viable accounts to sell into. Pendo is over priced so most customers go with our competitors as they are more affordable with similar value....Read More

Inbound Lead/Opportunity Flow is the sole responsibility of the reps. Plenty of inbound activity for Mid-market and certain Ent reps, but the majority is super dry. Customer sentiment towards the Pendo product is usually positive.

The company and culture were terrific to start. However, COVID-19, combined with unforeseen economic conditions, really put a damper on Pendo. Inbound leads all but disappeared. Pendo is the most expensive in the market, so we regularly lost deals to point solutions unless we discounted the heck of the deal.

The culture at Pendo has seriously plummeted lately especially for females. A lot of females are leaving due to the “sales bro” culture that is being cultivated.

Change was constant and erratic. If we missed a number the reaction was emotional and swift. I do not think the CEO is equipped to lead them where he wants to go (was amazing to this point but out of his depth). Whole space has become a "nice to have".

2023 was an pretty bad comp plan and quota with almost nobody in enterprise hitting. 2024 had a quota drop and a better complain and accelerators. It has been a complete reversal and reps are very optimistic.

My experience was overall decent, but the org has a lot of internal politics going on, especially in the sales department. Org also is relentless in laying people off at any given moment

Pendo has been struggling to meet the needs of enterprise customers and get them to value for some time now. For this reason, it’s hard to upsell them. Books of business change quarterly or sometimes multiple times a quarter so establishing relationships is impossible. I’d run not walk away from this role if you are interviewing.

My overall experience was chaotic. 2 months after I was hired the original team that hired me was terminated. The company could not make a decision on GTM strategy and forced a hunter/farmer model in Q3 after missing sales targets. Recently went through a large layoff. Lots of change, but what Pendo does matters to customers and they are still buying. Much like many SaaS companies we've seen changes in how customers purchase and the steps required to get a deal done.
