It’s seldom that anyone in the sales org meets quota and as a result the team has become extremely micromanaged since becoming a part of Sinch. Even if you meet all KPIs or are a top performer, you can still be laid off for 'performance' due to nepotism or unconscious bias. 'Promoting from within' has also set sail as the startup culture faded. Though they may claim that promotions are still given from within, when it comes to sales promotions specifically, Sinch seeks external employees to meet the seemingly impossible quotas. The sales training, while bi-yearly, is dated or out of touch with modern sales tactics, so you get the same generalized training you would get from any organization rather than personalized training to help you succeed. Furthermore, there is no flexibility when it comes to trying new ideas or sales tactics, so if you propose something new, it may take months to get approved. Lastly, DEIC is an afterthought.
