Going vertical with industries and geographical location does leave a lot of room for luck over your skill. Vertical territories built stronger structure in general, and built stronger on your messaging for that particular vertical. However, most verticals do average and some do okay. For example, the new DNB/ISV vertical is struggling and all verticals in QLD are struggling. Retail aligns with Okta/Auth0 well. The NSW Public sector is a great territory. Competing against Microsoft is weak. Enablement is weak for competing against Microsoft is weak. Auth0 messaging usually lands better than Okta.
