For a product that has strong product-market fit on the "prosumer" and startups side of its business, the struggle to go upmarket and sell outside of startups is real. I covered the LATAM territory for Notion for more than a year during the midst of the great tech panic of 2022. Tough territory, even tougher time to work it.
The sales org grew from about 5 AEs/AMs covering the Americas when I started to 20 AEs/AMs by the time I left. The team progressively struggled to hit its collective quota, with AEs off ramp regularly attaining between 15-25% of their quarterly quota. The last quarter I was there our team missed quota (and badly) for the first time in 3+ years at the company. There was a profound lack of direction from the C-suite, though the hire of Notion's new CRO should help (I hope!) Browse Other Reviews
