After the PE takeover, New Relic rapidly lost it's market focus and turned into a GTM-focused company. They lagged on current market trends consistently and the tech debt hampered innnovation.

Overall experience was good until after the acquisition where changes happened daily without any communication. Since the start of the fiscal year no one has any clue what they are doing and it seems like everyone is wandering aimless waiting on leadership to provide direction.

New Relic is a good place for salespeople to milk the natural growth in spend as though it is an achievement. Long ago they stopped rewarding people for getting new logos--product led growth gets the new logos, then the fat, happy sales people milk the accounts.

Taken over by PE. The current CEO is checked out. He changed the pricing model to from license based to consumption based, made a mistake of going for user based pricing model, learnt it after 2 years. Moving towards query based pricing model. 1st- 2nd- and 3rd- line management are great and truly care about each person. C-level and GTM leaders have no idea what they are doing, and they are the main reason why NEWR was acquired by a P.E firm. There'll be pockets of opportunity in varying sales roles, but as a whole, it's all downhill from here.

New Relic has experienced growing pains moving into a consumption model. Although leadership has right sized quota when necessary, it seems leadership is constantly and always "looking for more" instead of celebrating wins. Those that hit quota are not appreciated enough. We'll see how things play with the acquisition.

Sales org and GTM strategy are constantly changing, which made it difficult to perform consistently. These ratings would be much lower now, as the company has been forced to scale back a lot of it's more generous comp policies. I'd rate them closer to a 3.8 or 4 stars. They just got acquired by a PE firm, so we'll see what changes follow.

Fantastic, the environment was inclusive and inviting. I gravitated to the leadership who led were transparent and very open. I got laid off within 2 months of being with the company however it was apart of the bigger plan that I adjusted too. The severance package was stellar.

New Relic has got to be the most dysfunctional company I have ever worked for. Ever since last late 2022 the company totally lost sight of what makes people tick. It is the absolute worst incentive structure I have ever seen and a senior management that is oblivious to reality.
