NetSuite customers have their guard up when you go to upsell / cross-sell them since they're used to having discounts and those discounts getting stripped away upon renewal. Renewal is the best time to make your money and if you don't have many renewals in your book, upselling is more difficult.
It takes a long time to get settled in the role and if your overall accounts aren't growing as businesses, they won't have an appetite to buy. Oftentimes, the customer is jaded by their experience with their previous account manager, and you have to work to repair their perception of NetSuite before you can approach them with value that will move your quota.
