Is Motive still hiring? I see positions listed here and LinkedIn for MM & ENT sales roles.

But I also saw the VP of Sales make a post about him (and others being) laid off…

What’s the deal?

Hiring is ongoing given the mass exodus after the layoffs. The sales culture has become toxic as a result of the new mid level sales director taking on additional responsibility. The long term vision is lost. Initiatives are always half baked upon rollout and always changing based on negative customer feedback. ENT space lacks presence and fails to make any decent traction.

Wasn't a RIF but yes, long time sales VP was let go.  Last year he led all sales under CRO, 2023 moved to VP of MM.  Ent. RVP was also let go.  Although his LI profile doesn't reflect it, couple month back their co-founder/COO was let go as well.  In addition to those three leaders, there was a house cleaning at MM sales level last week.

Hiring is going on always. However, recent lay off was more of a cutting one end and expanding other. Most of the team that Motive has let go was SMB and little bit of those who were not performing  for long in MM,CMRL & other depts. If you are willing to join, please go ahead however, your numbers are the biggest job security as a sales person.

Yes Motive is still actively hiring, especially in Mid-Market and Enterprise AE roles (upmarket sales).
