Massive changes to 2023 compensation plans have largely eliminated ability to W2 $1m+. Changes were done with limited notice and many teams caught flat footed. Many systems to support this change to “consumption” are still not in place. Those who have been most successful over the past 2-3 years have had their commission rates slashed in half. There has been a large amount of attrition from the organization’s top performers as a result.

Mongo used to be a great place to work in sales. When the economy took a downturn in beginning of 2023, they began “restructuring” and making it harder to achieve quota which instead of doing layoffs, they got people to organically quit. Great business decision honestly. The ones of us that are left are struggling for the most part.

The compensation scheme is tough, with only a few hitting targets. UK leadership shows favouritism and has a heavy drinking, lads’ culture, with little work-life balance. However, the team is bright and top leadership is excellent.
