How accurate/realistic is OTE? I was unable to get clarity on how the variable works.

It used to be obtainable on 40 hours many years ago. You better be sold out on corporate life, have good territories, good relationship with manager, and not afraid to put in some over hours weeks to exceed quota

It’s a very tough OTE to hit, and I reckon only 30% of reps max hit it each month. If you hit your OTE it’s more a stretch target, and it keeps going up too. Added challenge is new pricing model, it’s killed smaller deals.

Realistic when ramping until about 6 months in, after that you’re lucky to hit 80-90% MoM

Depends so much on your territory. A nice place you can do it. If you get a bad territory (random midwest. Canada - lol), you're screwed. If they put you in Canada, just quit.

What they didn’t tell me-When you are ramping up, your quota is small, say month 2 your quota is $1200. If you bring in $1200, you’d think you’d get paid out your 100% commission that month? Wrong. You have to hit more than 100% during ramp period.

If you have experience outbound prospecting and have good time management, it's doable. If you're not ready to do at least 5-8 hours per week of prospecting, it will be unrealistic
