Gong is a great company to work for overall, however selling here is very cutthroat. You're expected to self source all of your opportunities so 95% of the job is cold calls and emails. Be ready to become an expert in selling at the expense of intense working hours. Because Gong is a sales recording tool, every single interaction you make has eyes on it (amount of dials, context of emails, did your call mimic the top sellers call because it should). The micromanagment is extreme here because literally everything is tracked (for better or for worse).

Overall, Gong is a great place to work. However, it has definitely hit a plateau in the last year.

Gong has a phenomenal culture, they have a high talent bar and make no mistake that you will get your PHD in sales here. That being said, those that have high grit and drive are VERY well compensated and can highly over achieve their targets/OTE.
