Are compensation plans frequently updated at DocuSign? How are sales territories assigned at the company?

Sales comp plans are updated annually. Unfortunately the territory assignment process here is still random. Your territory relies on your relationship with your manager as to where they will assign you.

It's random. This year the comp plans carry a significantly more risk than I have ever seen at DocuSign. Much of it is left to leadership and Sales Ops making good decisions which they fairly consistently don't.

Depends on segment. I'm not completely sure what you mean by updated comp plans, but the territory you are dealt here could make or brake you. At least that is my experience in AM for Mid Market. Unless you get lucky, you'll likely get an underperforming territory to start and if you can survive that for 2 or 3 quarters they'll get you a better one as long as there is one to give (have to bank on someone leaving or getting promoted on your team).

I'm sure upmarket is a bit more ironed out.

More recently, yes. Comp has been increasing relative to market change, but they are still paying well below other SaaS firms, especially for MM or Majors roles.

Comp plans are updated annually! FY runs Feb- Jan.

Territory are assigned in geographical locations and accounts will be assigned based on employee segment.

Smb 1-125, MM 125-500, Majors 500+ and enterprise named accounts
