How would you assess the effectiveness of the sales leadership team at DocuSign in terms of mentorship and career growth opportunities? Based on your interactions with the leadership, would you suggest pursuing a sales role at DocuSign?

When the company was experiencing hyper growth, career growth opportunities would present more readily however due to the slowed growth over 2022/23 it would be more challenging, especially when the org was going through multiple rounds of redundancies.   Unfortunately office politics played a part in who would be promoted vs who was the right person for the role on a number of occasions. DocuSign is a great platform and you can be very successful if the targets remain attainable and the territories are equitable.

They continue to have layoffs that started in 2022. They are going after the sales departments, from what it appears and it seems to be happening every 1 to 2 quarters. If it were me, I'd take a look at companies who aren't laying off so frequently.

Depends on region and segment. The commercial business in EMEA did a good job of promoting from within creating a great pathway for BDR's in Dublin. The London teams (Enterprise) had limited career options and there were some incorrect leadership decisions which slowed down the progress of career growth. DS is still a market leader with aggressive pace of innovation. So worth factoring into your thinking

It varies depending on who your direct sales leader is, however if you Zoom out and look at the larger organization, it's not setup in a very effective manner that's cohesive, so there's not an efficient path for career progression.  That being said, selling at Docusign can be lucrative for talented sellers.

all the answers are true, if you're young and if it's one of your first job in tech, you should get a try but if we talk about leadership and mentorship and growth opportunities it's one of the worst meritocratic company I've ever seen.
