Are all (or most?) sales teams and sales employees impacted by the Dell return to office mandate that's been in the news lately?  Has this impacted morale or was this expected?

Dell's culture has eroded to pacify shareholders and drive stock price. The RTO mandate is a way to accomplish "soft layoffs" and the need to pay severance packages. The sales teams are worried how to take care of their family and career. This mandate will impact customers as employees no longer trust leadership to cultivate what was once a great organization, has now negatively impacted morale and turnover to follow.

Account executive impacted also. Incredible decisions  by c level to push employees out of the company. Is not the same company I joined 6 years ago.

The worst part is there was zero heads up.  It was announced on a TH/FRI and expected to be back in office Monday.   Horrible all the way around but all sales are expected to be in office unless meeting face to face with a customer.

I would say that this has impacted all sales teams. As someone already mentioned, the lack of a notice was very unprofessional because it was essentially a one-day notice. But I've come to learn that this is the level of professional courtesy that you will get from a company of this size (or at least with Dell). Leadership would rather force change onto people versus managing the change or getting input from the people that decisions like this will impact. Dell's leadership has proven to be distrustful and hypocritical, as seen with Michael Dell promoting remote work just to change his mind two years later or how the company (which is a tech company) creates technology for remote work but doesn't want their employees working remotely.

Morale has tanked. I've been in the office and it's still a ghost town. Very little direction from leadership. Everyone seems confused and irritated.
