How would you assess the support and development opportunities provided by the leadership team in the sales department at Cvent? Based on your experience with their leadership, would you recommend pursuing a sales career at Cvent?

The leadership development opportunities on the commercial (mid-market) team are stronger than the enterprise team. Career development is minimal with offering a subscription to linkedin learning and product training.     Leadership wise - it's a relatively flat organization that has primarily promoted from within.  If you are a lifelong IC who doesn't mind hustling, this could be a good role for you.  Options for promotion into sales management are limited.

Cvent is a great place to kickoff a sales career, pivot to a new industry, or ride off into the sunset as a seller nearing retirement. It's a fast paced org, with a massive focus on sales and sales enablement. Upon starting at Cvent, you will go through a ~30 day onboarding program that is one of the best I've ever seen. Pay at Cvent in my opinion is a bit below market average, but very strong financials with good job security, great training, and an awesome office environment and culture, definitely would work there again.

Leadership fluctuates heavily - I had good and bad managers. Bad managers micromanaged and offered no support, all they did were bring up issues and provide no solutions. There is also a double standard as leadership is not required to go into Office but the reps are. Proceed with caution.
