Back to ReviewsFormer Employee First job out of college. I had no clue about sales. What I learned here propelled me into a lifetime, if not, long-term career in sales. Had a great boss who invested time into making me better. He was patient, empathetic, and smart. I didn’t hear as great things about every team in the building. Carahsoft is a government distributor. They don’t make their own product for sale. Instead, they buy products (software/hardware) and services from a OEM, and then resell it through an intricate network of VARs. They were pushing through $5.5B of revenue in 2018-2019. The CEO, Craig, is a visionary. He’s got serious brains about how the org should work. There are a few downfalls to the org. The pay isn’t great when you start out, but it gets better each year you’re there (as long as you’re performing at a decent rate). Second, there’s no AE roles here. You’re mainly doing an SDR role coupled with basic Account Management (if that). I left to grow in full sales cycle processes. Other than that, thankful for what I learned along the way!
