My experience with Axway was a mixed bag. I noticed right away some significant gaps between the strategy leadership wanted to accomplish, and the business's ability to train, support, and ultimately set reps up for success. After giving it a strong effort, it became apparent to me that most these gaps in their current form would be insurmountable for most professionals to succeed. Overall the business has a tendency to shift strategies mid year/multiple times in a given year and this creates unnecessary challenges for the staff there. In addition to this, the leadership team isn't clear about which priorities need to be addressed, and actually had leave/let go several already successful sales people, thus adding additional confusion to the reps on the ground. The product works well enough for sales to win deals but internally the important systems around sales like sales engineering or sales ops add layers of obfuscation to the process, and ultimately result in additional unnecessary challenges which slow deal making down. Today, it's unclear how Axway trains its sales professionals to communicate the differentiating factors of their offering in an incredibly competitive market. If I could remake my decision I would not have joined Axway.
