Management has set up MBOs that are leading to lower morale and a culture of fear internally. A lot of fantastic leaders are moving to other companies because they are frustrated with their experience at Appian. Product is very hard to sell and has a lot of competition from huge players like Salesforce, servicenow and Microsoft

Go-to-market strategy is focussed on encouraging customers to build their own solutions on the platform and the product is premium priced. Most multipliers from last year’s comp plan were eliminated or dramatically reduced with no comparable incentives added.
