My overall experience declined rapidly the longer I stayed there. When I first joined, AWS was an incredible place to work where everyone was hungry and truly customer obsessed. AWS pays at the top of market while offering 100s of infrastructure solutions to enterprise clients. The culture is highly politicized and "upleveling" often comes down to factors outside of performance and merit. That being said, the learning opportunity is unparalleled and provides amazing exposure to organization processes.
