Complex organisation, lots of smart people but each working toward their own KPIs which don't all align. Lots of processes, lots of documentation but lack of guidance. In the words of the HBO series : "Not great, not terrible"

The experience at AWS is less about driving deals and more about driving visibility. Much of the solutioning is left to partners and leadership is less interested in pipeline than Executive Engagement.

AWS is great for its customer, incredible products and brand. It increasingly treats it's employee poorly, which gets worse year on year. The redundancies have gutted important team, for example revenue operations leaving reps with commission for over 12 months. AWS also makes awful leadership hires... ex start up CEOs cannot run sales organizations.
