What is the sales culture like at AT&T and how does it contribute to the overall work environment?

In the enterprise space-sales & account team culture is phenomenal.  Generally speaking, the sales account teams are top notch in the industry and go so far beyond what they are "compensated" to do for clients.  It is extremely common that sales teams act on behalf of the customer & advocate for the customer on challenges with billing, service outages, process, and internal operations.  It is called "fighting the T".  as the team responsibilities are so vast in the  goes way beyond what sales & account teams in other companies experience.  The roles are really blended Customer Success/Account Executive/Strategic Account Management which is likely why the base salaries are on the higher end.

Retail Sales is effectively bootcamp; you follow the script and try to sucker people into things you know they don’t need. Can’t speak much to corporate as I moved on a couple years back and am now in an AE role elsewhere.

The sales culture is family-oriented, innovative, and customer-first focused. Ongoing coaching and mentoring help the company get the most out of its employees.

The culture at AT&T also tends to be fast-paced, with an emphasis on building relationships.
