Supermicro
Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Supermicro sales is the chaotic wild west where teams fight over accounts and the rules don't apply equally to everyone. There are no sales resources, support or tools, and leadership is lacking on all levels. Despite the tremendous growth, the CEO will not invest into the sales org. Executive management are a bunch of "Yes men"; soldiers following the CEO's orders as if we are in the Supermicro Military. Full RTO so that we can sit in cubes/offices under blue light and enjoy free fruit once a week, plus a small batch of random daily assortment of strange breakfast snacks. Benefits are abysmal relatively speaking compared to the likes of Nvidia, AMD, Dell, HPE, Cisco, etc. No 401K match, weak dental/medical. The only reason to stay here is if you are OK with coasting the low base pay, or own large accounts that bring in big revenue and comission/bonus. Btw, there is no comission, it is called a bonus because nobody actually knows how much they will get paid on a sale. The products/solutions are good and getting better, most engineers are good, most SE/FAE are good. The potential is huge, but not unless a lot of things change. Browse Other Reviews
