What can you tell me about the sales culture at insightsoftware and how it differs from other companies in the industry?

Completely agree and it's representative of all roles, not only sales. The culture is caustic, I'm only still here to try to change it, can't bare to see less invincible colleagues walking on their knees under this completely malign missmanagement.

Zero coordination, zero cross-functional recognition and constant claims that everything that's going bad is getting better, while it mostly just gets worse. Sales team is expected to NOT learn how their products actually work, which is extremely confusing.

Every summer I come back here, I've lost some of my best colleagues with very unacceptable explanations that always seem to come directly from the ELT. This is despite not doing mass layoffs or anything. New employees are directly thrown in at the deep end expected to deliver from day 1 with lacking support structures and learning environments.

The company has very stable financial backing and successful sales revenue and as long as those numbers are good  the ELT and the owners will not care about anything else. I assume things would get worse if they were not good though.

In a single word, caustic. This is instilled from the top down. This is not a place to go to advance or even continue your career. Training, business development, product development are non-existent. It’s a pressure cooker environment where less than 100% is unacceptable, regardless of tenure.

Completely agree, "Culture" to Insight leadership is tracking you on Okta, Phone, CRM, Salesloft. Being a Strategic Enterprise AE should not be tracked like a SDR, BDR. We are building a territory, relationship matrix that is multi-threaded and a book of business. I was lied to in the interview process. We spend over 50% of our time doing administrative work that can't be tracked.

The culture is toxic. There is extreme micro-management. They promote SDRs without sales experience to the Enterprise team and fire Chairman Club winners. It is terrible and only getting worse. 3 straight quarters of missing goal for the US team and the answer is to make more dials.

There is an extreme lack of leadership starting at the top. Managers have daily check-in calls that accomplish nothing. Managers often yell at employees in front of the team. Because of age discrimination and higher base salaries, seasoned and tenured reps who outperform have been replaced with jr salespeople.

I have never felt like my opinion is valued and am so glad to be gone. My new team actually has leaders who are trying to get the best out of people. It is a night and day difference.

Sink or swim.  I found there were some ethical lines being crossed and there was a blind  eye as long as numbers were achieved.   Alot of turnover.   I mean alot!!!!

I agree 100% with the other responses. It's a terrible culture and would never recommend it to anyone.
