Make no mistake, AEs are really BDR’s held to BDR KPIs around calling and emailing. Even then, 95% of new business is partner-led, not self-sourced, so you spend most of your time prospecting unsuccessfully. Industry is tough right now.

I have really enjoyed working at Zoom but things have also been very challenging given the products we sell and the competition we face. As an ENT AE we have virtually no BDR support or inbound leads. As we have grown our siloes have gotten much worse and it can be challenging to find the right people internally for certain products, questions, etc.

Pay is good if you hit quota. They've done a lot of changes on # of accounts and KPIs that are making quotas more difficult to achieve
