My overall experience was that AE's were expected to carry the ball all the time and generate 100% of their own pipeline. Management was not well threaded into the market, and there was very little inbound from BDR/SDR.

It's an interesting year for SaaS and Zendesk is definitely feeling the impact. Some reps are hitting and exceeding quota and many are struggling to hit. If you get a big deal or have several good accounts, you will hit quota, but if you have a tougher territory, you will struggle.
