Xplor will hire anyone, regardless of professional background, for their field services division. What that means is that we had lots of ex-retail, ex-hospitality, ex-service-industry, etc. workers who had little to no previous sales experience. These are the people ending their months with 0 - 2 qualified opportunities, when quota ranges anywhere from 4 - 8. Training exists, but most don't take advantage of it, and SDRs cap out around the senior level ($60K base, $75K-ish OTE) with little to no chance of being promoted to AE level, which is based on performance (70 qualified meetings annually or $100K ARR sourced), so attaining it around the one-year mark is common. The AE department is full, as in, you won't become one unless you switch companies. Inbound leads are more or less non-existent unless you're a senior SDR being sent to expos and given easy leads. Instead, you get somewhere between 3 and 10 poor quality, pre-existent outbound leads per day, and you cold-call those. $70 per qualified meeting, 7.5% of ARR on closed logos. Great place to start, since it's so easy to get into, but growth exists elsewhere. Newbies getting churned out by quota, and tenured reps leave.
