Large company with good values and I would say how you were treated really depended on your management team and BU. VMware looks after its employees but it could do better to help the sales team be more competitive out there and meet quotas.

With the impending Broadcom acquisition things have changed. Multiple leaders have left, new processes have been put in place that delay sales cycles. Any deal over $10M in ARR requires an approval process that adds at least a month before you have anything you can share with a customer. No one has a sense of urgency until the acquisition is complete.
