Twilio has solid technology and a reputable name! However, they are still figuring out how to sell to Large Enterprises. There were often changes in GTM and sales strategy. Between September 2022 and December 2024, there were 4 rounds of layoffs and 3 reorganizations. This posed huge challenge for Enterprise reps to be successful, as sales cycles are (per usual) 6-12months.

New business greenfield accounts in enterprise segment was incredibly difficult. Near no inbound lead flow and took long sales cycles to get small land deals. Quotas unattainable unless you had big current spenders.
