The sales managers are great and supportive, they're willing to offer advice and feedback constructively. Leadership is fickle. They change directions on the CEO's whim. Even though they say we're taking a new direction they're actively incentivising the opposite behavior. They have grand ideas but can't stomach any turbulence or risk so they default to what we are - a glorified staffing company. It's a gamble what territory you will get and if there is any demand for our offerings. Even if there is a lot of demand we're one of the most expensive companies in the game and not much to show how different we are. As a salesperson, you're left to your own devices to figure out how to engage prospects, as there is not a lot of material out there with studies and insights. A challenger organization this is not. The inbound frequency for Enterprise leads is abysmal and as an account manager you will be doing outbound 75% of the time if you dream about hitting quota. Customers see us as a commodity provider. Having strategic discussions with them is almost out of the question and they will turn to a cheaper option on a whim.
