Is there a lot of turnaround and layoffs at Thomson Reuters for not achieving quota? How would you describe your experience within their sales division? Would you recommend Thomson Reuters to those with sales experience looking for a change?

I would not recommend Thomson Reuters.  Horrible culture, executive turnover, new direction everyday and depressing. Run.

Like any sales role, territory is king and talent is second. If you have a good territory you can make enterprise sales type money. If you don't produce you're gone. Management will tell you all territories have the same sales capacity, but that's absurd.

My experience around 2020 was that there was a very high sales rep turnover. With that said, the sales leader in place today (Alex Ellis) is excellent, so things may have moved on. Regardless, expect all the usual politics that come with a large corporation.

If you aren’t achieving quota for three months running you end up on a performance improvement plan (industry standard) if you continue missing and your activity numbers are not showing any sort of push to hit then yeah you will be planned out, but focused/humble reps always hit their year.

I have loved my experience here but it’s all about who you surround yourself with, unfocused reps looking for a lot of inbound generally don’t do well, those willing to pick up the phone even a little bit will crush their numbers
