Once great company that has been absorbed by Salesforce's processes and bureaucracy. Territories cut in half with maxed out clients in the CMT vertical. Selling seat based licenses to companies laying people off is tough. Now apart of Salesforce, strategy has shifted from annual/quarterly goals to monthly and sometimes weekly metrics. Because of this I feel like my sales skills have been dulled at Tableau. However I have had a few lucrative years. If it weren’t for that this job would be much much worse. Tableau AEs have completely lost control of their own destiny since everything is tied to Core Reps goals.

Tableau is an amazing product that has significant demand and is fairly easy to sell. There are many great things about working here, but I also want to add some things to be aware of. Tableau has lost most of its culture since the acquisition. Salesforce has brought in much of its leadership, and the majority of those folks don't grasp how Tableau's business...Read More

Overall enjoy working here, career development is a bit based on politics vs strictly on performance. Salesforce is investing to ensure Tableau remains a market fit.
