Leadership made a huge difference at Salesforce. My hiring manager who I worked for 6 months was great! Tough but a true leader. He was promoted and I got stuck with a first time people manager that was terrible. He doesn't want to lead, he focused on micromanaging and making sure he got all the credit when a deal closed. He is the definition of "Corporate Bro" and only hired white males for his team. What's alarming is that leadership turned a blind eye to his actions and HR didn't do very much either. It was a terrible experience.

Salesforce is a generally good place to work BUT it has issues with product bloat from all the acquisitions, the overlay sales model creates weird incentives for Core AEs to try to sell certain SKUs regardless of fit or need, and it has def become a more high-pressure environment since the push for profitability.
