In the enterprise space, the biggest external challenge is navigating red tape. Your experience highly depends on what vertical you are in and your manager. There is a huge focus on hitting metrics.
Most play a game and the de facto approach is very different. There is a lot of fluff. Job feels pretty meaningless. So much focus on setting meetings as opposed to bringing value to customer.
Also, the processes and tools are pretty outdated. Expect more manual work than what is typical in a BDR role, nothing is automated when it comes to client facing, although you will have access to the cutting edge AI that Salesforce and Slack is dropping.
Recommend asking in interviews - why the last person left.
