Fantastic place to start your career at as SHI offer an excellent post-grad scheme. The basic salary is under the market average, and the commission structure has been drastically changed 3 times in the past 18 months. This change has been received poorly by sales staff and has caused a large number of them to leave. There are daily meetings about forecasts and as the targets are too high the sales staff have been pressured into over committing on their numbers to please management. This has created a negative culture and one that is quite toxic unfortunately. It is hard for middle management to make any changes or impressions, as the organisation is ruled in a totalitarian way. There are opportunities to succeed however as people often leave and this leaves openings to service some of SHI's long standing customers. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at SHI as I gained so much knowledge of the industry, however it is not somewhere that someone can stay for an extended period of time without it impacting their mental health.

Great place to be if you have a great territory and manager. Some people will be given active accounts, while others are given inactive accounts. You're measured like an SDR, AE, AM all at once. 95% of the opportunities you generate will be from outbound, and you won't have the tech stack to help you achieve your outbound goals. Overall experience as a current employee: Pro: You can make good money at this company. Con: Very few leaders, way too many glorified managers. The company is too large to be this young. House of cards built upon sand.
