SAP cares more about controlling revenue than growing revenue. This has led many poor decisions like capping commissions earnings. The ELT seems to be an echo chamber: 2024 innovation award for operations led to LOWER pipeline generation but it was easier to report on. No training for sales. No collaboration from others to drive new business. Just AEs asked to do more.

Starting with the bad, Leadership is highly unqualified and elementary in SMB. Reminds of the popular group in a high school, with no selling talent. Can’t do the AE job well themselves. 5-10 years ago concur was a different place and leadership was highly possible but not anymore.
