Back to ReviewsFormer Employee My overall experience at Quest Software was frustrating. The lack of leadership and opportunities within the company were very limited. Favoritisms overruled qualifications. Most of the sales team lacked any prior experience in the industry or even Sales! For example, many promotions were given to those with prior experience as a cook, waitress, hostess and managing a family restaurant's staff.
Also, 90% of the promoted were white males over the entire organization. Responses to any complaints resulted in demotions or let go.
HR folks were friends with certain managers who intercepted any issues brought forth. Incentives were rare and often brought to an end, especially if highly successful. It was toxic for those not favored. I tried to lay low and not make waves, but it also hindered chances of promotion within (over 3 years) the entire time as others with zero prior experience and sometimes less than a year in role would be promoted. Overall, I'd only recommend this company as a stepping stone to your career and only IF there are no offers to consider.
