You're convincing families to enroll in an online K12 public school. The product is free; the students have good outcomes; sometimes they get a laptop. There's absolutely no cold calling and all leads are warm. That's why the base pay is low and the culture is great/low-pressure. If you're scared of sales and need a good intro, this is a great place to start. But once you mature past the noob discomfort of sales, it'll be time to move on. You'll also get burnt out from talking to the general public, your average parents. They can range from demanding Karens who essentially want a free private school, to the hippie who doesn't believe in state curriculums (yet are looking into a public school), to the uneducated, uninvolved, inarticulate parent who just wants to sit their kid in front of a computer while they go out to the club. During back-to-school, this is a lot to stomach. But once BTS is over, it's smooth sailing and an easy extra $40k/year. Personally, I just applied for the 100% tuition reimbursement.
